Blue Victorian-Vezer Family Vineyards sits in the heart of Suisun Valley, and the first thing you notice is that distinctive blue Victorian building rising up from the vineyard rows. It’s a working winery where you can actually see the vines that produce their wines, and the grounds feel genuinely open to dogs rather than tolerating them as an afterthought.
The setup works well for a dog visit. You can wander the property with your dog, moving between the vineyard areas and taking in views of those tall palm trees scattered throughout. The walking pace is leisurely—no pressure to hurry through, which means your dog can adjust to the environment at a comfortable speed. The family has been running this place for years, and that shows in how they handle visitors with dogs. They’re straightforward about what you can and can’t do rather than pretending everything’s fine and then making it awkward.
When you’re ready to taste wines, you’ll sample what they produce on-site. The quality has earned them awards, and you get a sense they actually care about the wines rather than just cranking out volume. The tasting area has that balance where you don’t feel rushed, but it’s also not so sprawling that keeping track of your dog becomes complicated.
The location matters too. Suisun Valley is less crowded than some wine regions, and the drive from Fairfield is short enough that you’re not committing your whole day just getting there. The grounds have enough character that even if wine tasting isn’t your main thing, the walk around the property and the setting itself are worth the trip.
Bring water for your dog—the open vineyard areas don’t provide much shade during the day, and the walking is more exposed than you might expect from looking at photos.
