Treasure Island Wines is the original winery on Treasure Island, providing a unique and authentic wine tasting experience without the long drives or parking hassles typically associated with the city center. Open most Saturdays and by appointment, this spot is worth the trip across the bridge if you’re looking to taste wine without abandoning your dog in the car.

Five artisan wineries operate within the same warehouse space, so you get real variety without wandering between different locations. There’s a solid selection of over twenty wines to taste and purchase, ranging from well-known regional bottlings like Carneros Chardonnay, Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, and Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir to less common pours including Muscat, Roussanne, Petite Sirah, and Carignane. You can actually spend time exploring what’s available instead of feeling rushed through a tasting.

The dog-friendly setup here is genuine. Your dog gets plenty of space to move around, and the staff typically keep treats available for visiting dogs—not as an afterthought, but because they actually seem to enjoy having them there. Picnic tables line the shoreline with views across the water toward San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge. It’s the kind of place where you can sit with a glass of wine while your dog wanders the grass nearby, and the wind and bay views make it feel like you’ve actually gotten away, even though you’re technically still in the city.

The peaceful setting is perfect for a slow afternoon. You can walk around the island grounds with your dog between tastings, which beats standing in a crowded tasting room. The whole experience has a relaxed, genuinely friendly vibe rather than the pretension you sometimes find at wine venues.

Since they operate by appointment on weekdays and mostly Saturdays, calling ahead makes sense so you know what to expect when you show up with your dog.
