For one Saturday each April, Pup Palooza unleashes the fun through countless dog-centered activities. A puppy photo booth. Wine & Wag tastings. Pet communicator chats. Friendly competitions for best-dressed dog, most talented pet, top frisbee catch, and owner and pup look-alikes. The daytime event also features dog agility demos, nose work presentations, low-cost rabies shots, ask-a-vet clinics, raffle prizes and more.
Pup Palooza activities and workshops benefit the Mendocino Coast Humane Society’s important animal welfare work. The organization serves 96 miles of northern California coastline with an adoption center, veterinary clinic, mobile adoption van and no-kill shelter services. Event participants will mingle with other dog lovers, as well as animal welfare advocates and locals who share a soft spot for canines.
Attendees can fold the day’s fun into a longer stay, complete with adventures at pup-friendly parks and attractions. Little River Inn’s Pup Palooza Package rolls out the red carpet for event guests. Two- and four-legged travelers tuck into spacious, dog-friendly rooms, and families who enter at least one pet in a Pup Palooza contest will get both contest entrance fees and hotel pet fees waived.
